I can't upload skills, or they aren't being used

ChatGPT

• Skills need a plan that includes them. The Project part of your kit works on every plan.
• Upload each .zip from chatgpt/skills/ as it is. Don't unzip it.
• A few uploads show Needs review for a while. That's ChatGPT's own check.

Claude

• Uploading skills needs Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise, with code execution switched on in Settings → Capabilities.
• Upload each .zip from claude/skills/ without unzipping it.

Gemini

• Upload the SKILL.md file (or its folder on a computer), not a zip. Gemini rejects zips.
• You need to be 18 or over, signed in, with Keep activity on. Work and school accounts may still use Gems until 2027. Use gem-instructions.md for those.

Skills aren't being used

Ask for the skill by name, for example: "Use the morning-briefing skill." On Gemini, type / and pick it.

Menus change often. The install guides are re-checked regularly and show the date they were last checked.
