Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use KitMyAgent, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, zoom or magnification, or voice control. This statement covers kitmyagent.com.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means you should be able to:

  • use the whole site, including the agent creator, with a keyboard, and always see where you are (a visible focus outline)
  • zoom text up to 200% without losing content
  • use a screen reader: pages have proper headings, labelled buttons and form fields, and the page language is set to English
  • turn down animation: if your device is set to reduce motion, we switch our animations off
  • read text that has enough contrast against the background

How accessible this site is

We believe the site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. We checked it ourselves; it hasn't had an independent audit yet. Things we know aren't right yet:

  • Some agent avatars and decorative pictures may not have a text description, or may have one that isn't very helpful.
  • Some pop-up windows (such as the buy and sign-in boxes) may not move keyboard focus as smoothly as they should.
  • Some smaller grey text on our dark background may be harder to read than we'd like.
  • Downloaded kits are plain text and Markdown files, which most assistive technology reads well, but their layout depends on the app you open them in.

We're working through these and will update this page as we fix them.

Problems, feedback and other formats

If something on the site doesn't work for you, or you need information in a different format (for example large print or a plain-text version of a kit), email support@kitmyagent.com. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We'll reply within 5 working days and, where we can, fix it or send you what you need another way.

Contact us first and we'll try to put it right. If you're still not satisfied, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise you.
